The 1st Friday of the Month Mass will be held at 9:00 am at Adel Acres/Sunny Brook Care Center, 191 Greene Street

2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th Friday of the Month Mass: 8:30 am at St. John`s

All are welcome to join us downstairs after 9 am Sunday Mass for coffee, juice and pastries.

Monday Evening Pray the Rosary with us at 6 pm

Tuesday Evening Adoration from 4 - 5:30 pm, 5:30 pm Mass 

Wednesday Evening Faith Formation; Early session (PreK-4th) 6:00-7:20 pm, Late session (5th-High School WOW) 7:00-8:30. 

The Social Concerns Action Team meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7 pm, next meeting April 16th.  

The collection for the local Food Pantry is the third weekend of the month. Please leave non-perishable food and non-food items in the baskets in the entryway. $43.00 was collected from St. Johns Food pantry piggy bank in March and forwarded to Adel Food Pantry. Thank you for your continued generosity.

Adel/Waukee Knights of Columbus meet the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7 pm. July-November at St. John’s & January - June at St. Boniface.

Join us for Stations of the Cross on Thursday’s at  6:30 pm during Lent

Saturday, April 12th GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY with Bishop Pates! Join us for KOC lunch at Noon in the parish hall, followed by the ground breaking ceremony at 1:30pm!

April 13th Palm Sunday Mass 9:00 am, Ecumenical Choir Service 7:30 pm, followed by refreshments in the parish hall

Wednesday, April 16th All are invited to Shadow Stations of the Cross at 7 pm with the High School Youth Ministry.

April 17th Holy Thursday Mass at 7 pm, Adoration until 10 pm

April 18th Good Friday Service 7 pm

Saturday, April 19th
Easter Vigil  8:30 pm followed by a wine and cheese reception in the parish hall. We need volunteers at 9:30 am to help us decorate the church for Easter!

April 20th Easter Sunday Mass at 8:30 am & 10:30 am

Tuesday, April 22nd Respect Life Committee after 5:30 pm Mass

Thursday, April 24th, May 1st RCIA will meet at 7 pm

Tuesday, April 29th Council for Catechesis at 7pm

Monday, May 5th Pastoral Council Meeting, prayer & rosary at 6 pm, meeting at 6:30 pm

Wednesday, May 7th Faith Formation Mass at 6 pm

Thursday, May 8th First gathering of the new RCIA Inquiry group will meet at 7 pm

Tuesday, May 13th Worship & Spirituality Meeting 7 pm

Menu includes: Fish fried or baked, fried shrimp, various side dishes, breakfast potato and a drink. Cheese Pizza also offered. Served by the Knights Of Columbus.


Home Made Desserts available for purchase from the youth group


Cost: $8/Adults, $4/children ages 3-10 with a $25 immediate family maximum.
